Hosted at <em>Lauba<\/em>, the event will welcome international and local experts, once again revealing the rising stars of the regional hospitality scene through barista and bartender competitions.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"wrapper wrapper__bg-color wrapper__spacing-bottom-large--40\"\n\t>\n\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wrapper__container wrapper__container-width-large--default wrapper__gutter-large--default\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wrapper__inner wrapper__width-large--12\">\n\t\t\t\t\n<div class=\"block-paragraph\" data-id=\"3774b9729310f03a2a01d7d448350f58\">\n\t<p class=\"paragraph block-paragraph__paragraph\" data-id=\"7879ec4d60e2f39ec2788f217d453de6\">\n\tThe first two days of the conference are dedicated to the Raise the Bar Competition for bartenders and baristas, while the final day will offer insights into the key changes that have marked the past decade, as well as clear guidelines for the future of hospitality \u2013 a sector of strategic importance for the development of Croatia&#8217;s tourism and economy.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"wrapper wrapper__bg-color wrapper__spacing-bottom-large--40\"\n\t>\n\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wrapper__container wrapper__container-width-large--default wrapper__gutter-large--default\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wrapper__inner wrapper__width-large--12\">\n\t\t\t\t\n<div class=\"block-paragraph\" data-id=\"8304b4f9207bbb3976dd1ba9fb99ec80\">\n\t<p class=\"paragraph block-paragraph__paragraph\" data-id=\"f5a107074f64d128c7a653f2f90f138f\">\n\tOn Friday, 27 March, international guests and local experts will participate in two thematic panels dedicated to the transformation of the bar and culinary scene over the last ten years and the trends that will shape the industry.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"wrapper wrapper__bg-color wrapper__spacing-bottom-large--40\"\n\t>\n\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wrapper__container wrapper__container-width-large--default wrapper__gutter-large--default\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wrapper__inner wrapper__width-large--12\">\n\t\t\t\t\n<div class=\"block-paragraph\" data-id=\"be3428824d51e55cb5fadcf8c0f5aa64\">\n\t<p class=\"paragraph block-paragraph__paragraph\" data-id=\"c3e40083056652f005d2e3fa7647a209\">\n\tThe panel on the development of the bar industry will feature some of the most influential names in world mixology: R\u00e9my Savage, Danil Nevsky, Nikos Bakoulis and Ago Perrone. Specially designed pop-ups will faithfully recreate the ambiance of iconic locations, with their founders and head bartenders personally preparing cocktails. He is the founder of the Indie Bartender platform, which supports independent bartenders worldwide, and was named Best International Mentor at Tales of the Cocktail 2024. He was named Bartender of the Year at World Class Greece 2011 and is one of the founders of the internationally recognized bar The Clumsies, which has been featured on The World\u2019s 50 Best Bars list for years, as well as the creator of the Otto\u2019s Athens Vermouth project. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the title Best International Bar Mentor at Tales of The Cocktail Spirited Awards 2023, Industry Icon at the World\u2019s 50 Best Bars 2022, as well as awards for innovation and design in the bar industry. He launched the first Italian online magazine dedicated to mixology (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bartender.it\">www.bartender.it<\/a>) with the aim of inspiring the local bartending scene. As a child, he wanted to be a football player, which is why he moved from Gorski Kotar to Rijeka and enrolled at the hospitality school in Opatija, thinking he could balance it with his football training. During his schooling, he fell in love with cooking and directed his professional life toward that profession. He worked at the iconic fast-food restaurant Pizza Cut Duck, which gained popularity among the Zagreb audience through dedicated work and the concept of <em>gablec<\/em> lunches. He graduated from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics and participated in Masterchef in 2011, after which he got the opportunity to go to Hvar. There he dedicated hours, days, and weeks of his career to self-development \u2013through internships in restaurants, communicating with chefs, and similar pursuits. He always knew he wanted to be a chef and has been in the kitchen since he was a child. She gained experience through an internship at the <em>Mano<\/em> restaurant, and then by working at the <em>Mano2<\/em> restaurant under chef Hrvoje Kroflin, where she worked as a chef de partie at the cold station.
